Q: What sort of credit will I get? A:Your credit will be just after the creator’s, on Page One or Two, depending on the story. |
Q: Is the software supplied? A: No. As an outside contractor, you will use whatever software you have at your disposal to create authentic-looking foreground and background pieces, such as doorways, portholes, benches, walkways, etc. to augment the basic stock photography used for background. |
Q: Do I need a 3D rendering program? A: Highly recommended. Carrara(tm) Studio is one inexpensive solution. |
Q: Will I be paid by the object, or by the complete image? A:By the complete image. |
Q: How often will there be work? A: If the first issue is successful, expect a block of work every quarter [February, May, August, and November]. |
Q: How will I receive payment? A: Payment will be issued via the Producer’s verified PayPal account. If this is unacceptable, please make other arrangements before beginning work by emailing producer@futureko.com |
Q: How much creativity is involved? A: Some images will invite more creative input than others. The Producer relishes incorporating ideas from many different sources. However, there will be some assignments with very specific requirements ["...trail through the grass must accommodate four standing figures", "shadows cannot extend onto wall", etc.] |
Q: Can I pick and choose which assignments to take? A: No. You won’t receive another assignment until you’ve completed the current one. |
Q: Can I make a living doing this? A: The background artist position can be a great way to hone your skills. But no, you cannot make a living at it. Yet. |
Q: Where can I find the answers to my other questions? A: Email producer@futureko.com. |
